Adrian “Drae Doe” Harris is one to watch. He is a man with a plan, an up and coming entrepreneurial force to be reckoned with. A dirty south native, Houston Texas is his home town, but these days he is all over California grinding with his goals as his motivation. In any given week he may be in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, or Fresno making things happen. His Navy service is what brought him to the West Coast but it is his aspirations that have kept him there.
Adrian is that rare triple threat. He's a song writer, musical artist, and business man. He has always been musically inclined and was exposed to many different styles of music early on. As a teenager he performed in several talent shows where he gained experience. Adrian was given the opportunity to manage rap artist, Piff. It was then that Adrian realized that not only could he manage and promote but that he also wanted to pursue music himself professionally so in 2007 he launched his entertainment and promotional company Mixidup. Mixidup is a high traffic internet website devoted to advertising and showcasing nightlife, music artists, and highlighting celebrity news. He created Mixidup from scratch, teaching himself how to do web design professional photography. He personally took most of the photographs used on the site in the beginning and is still a regular contributor. The following year he began writing and recording music in Hollywood California as well as performing at area clubs creating a buzz.
When asked who his biggest musical influences are he sites the late Tupac Shakur and Lil Wayne as well as the King of Pop Michael Jackson and rappers T.I and Young Jezzy. Like his influences Adrian wants to take things to the next level and establish a name for himself. His nickname “Drae Doe” comes from a combination of his given name and the generic name john doe because he feels that your name does not make you, you make the name.
In the future Adrian “Draedoe” Harris does not only desire success for himself. He strives for unity. His company logo for Mixidup symbolizes how people are polarized and separated presently, however it also embodies his belief that it is only a matter of time before we all come together. With this in mind in the future he will develop another website, Mydream.com that takes the Mixidup.com concept a step further. It will be a one stop shop for artist and entertainment venue exposure and news. Mydream.com will reach far beyond California, transcending regions. Adrian hopes to eventually make it the global go to source.
The word MIXIDUP signifies true meaning, the X which separates the two i’s stands as a barrier and a separator which causes the two i’s from coming together as one. The i's of course signify people, and the d is only in place of the +, which should represent a cross, but in this case the D stands for “Dreams.” Up stands for the Heavens Above."
